Q: I’ve narrowed my home search down to a few final candidates. How do I tell what school districts they’re in?

A: Great question! Every school board in the Ottawa region has a school locator function on their website.  For the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, click here. Just enter the address of the property you’re considering, check off what grade your child is in as well as any special programs (e.g., French Immersion), and the search results will tell you what the appropriate school is. You can also find out the school’s address, phone number, and principal’s name.

For the French Catholic School Board, the school locations are found here. On this page, you can look at the school district maps, and also use a school locator similar to that used by the OCDSB. A similar service is offered by the Ottawa Catholic School Board and is located here.
