With Halloween just around the corner, make sure to pick up a locally grown pumpkin this weekend! Check out one of the great farms in the Ottawa area for a fun-filled day for the whole family!

Saunders Farm: Not only can you pick a pumpkin but you can also enjoy other fun activities. For anyone who dares to be scared, this is spooky Halloween central with 15 acres of pumpkins to choose from, 30 challenging mazes and lots of wide open space to let the kids run wild. Pumpkins range from $5 to $10 depending on the size.

Proulx Sugarbrush and Berry Farm: More than just a pumpkin farm, it’s a complete outdoor adventure right outside of Ottawa! October highlights include a four-acre corn field maze, 48-foot slide, petting zoo, hayride to the “Mysteries Forest” and an evening program organized with the Orleans Kiwanis Club. Pumpkins range from 5 cents for minis to $15.

**TIP** Free face painting is available with a canned food donation!

Millers’ Farm and Market: Just south of the charming village of Manotick lies a 40-acre farm with plenty of country space to explore! A tractor-pulled wagon drops you off at the pumpkin patch where you can wander between the rows until you find the right one.
